United States — A tribute is being organized in honor of Petty Officer 2nd Class Tyler Jaggers, a U.S. Coast Guard rescue swimmer whose life and service have been remembered by family members, friends, and members of the maritime community following his passing earlier this year.
As part of the tribute, an original painting titled “Fair Winds and Following Seas,” measuring 24 by 30 inches, has been created to commemorate Tyler Jaggers’ bravery and dedication during his service.
The artwork will be delivered to the parents of Tyler Jaggers as a memorial honoring his life and the sacrifices he made while serving in the United States Coast Guard.
According to organizers working closely with the family, the initiative also includes a limited number of framed prints of the painting so that those who were close to Tyler Jaggers can keep a personal tribute to his memory.
Family members indicated that approximately 35 close friends and loved ones expressed interest in receiving a print of the commemorative artwork.
The project was coordinated with the approval and involvement of Tyler Jaggers’ family, who welcomed the idea of sharing the tribute with those who knew him best.
Supporters have been invited to contribute messages of remembrance, which will be collected and placed into cards that accompany each framed print.
Organizers explained that every message written for the family will be carefully included as part of the memorial package, allowing recipients to open the prints together with words of remembrance for Tyler Jaggers and reflections on the impact he had on their lives.
Additional supporters have also offered to assist with the scanning and shipping costs required to ensure that the original painting reaches Tyler Jaggers’ parents before the scheduled memorial service.
The effort has quickly become a collective tribute organized by friends, artists, and members of the community who wish to honor the fallen service member.
The phrase “Fair Winds and Following Seas,” traditionally used within naval and maritime communities, symbolizes a respectful farewell and safe journey.
For many who knew Tyler Jaggers, the painting and the messages attached to it represent a lasting tribute to a young rescue swimmer remembered for his courage, dedication, and commitment to saving others.
